Included in the Predator Gaming series was a tablet, as well as a smartphone along with notebooks, desktops, and monitors.
Acer has announced a bunch of new devices at the IFA 2015, including its Predator series of gaming devices. It also announced a modular PC system, as well as the Jade Primo, which is being touted as the world’s first “PC Phone.” Aside from this, it also announced new smartphones in its Liquid series, as well as a number of tablets and monitors.
Acer Predator 8
The Predator 8 tablet features an 8-inch display, and a resolution of 1920×1200 pixels. The phone is powered by an Intel Atom x7 processor, and runs Android v5.1. The phone has 2GB of RAM and up to 64GB of internal memory, that can be expanded upto 128GB via the microSD card. The tablet will also have four front-facing speakers with Dolby Audio. The tablet will also provide haptic feedback while gaming.
Acer Predator 6
Not much was revealed about the Predator 6 gaming smartphone. The phone will have a 6-inch screen and 4GB of RAM. It will also have a deca-core MediaTek processor, which would most probably be the Helio X20. The Predator 6 will also sport a 21MP rear camera.
Acer Predator 17 and Predator 15
Both the notebooks are powered by 6th Gen Intel Core i7-6700HQ processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX980 graphics. It will have 32GB of DDR4 memory, and 512GB NVme PCIe solid state drives along with full USB 3.1 Type-C ports. The only difference between the two laptops will be in their displays. The Predator 15 will have a 15.6-inch screen with an option to choose between Full HD and 4K resolution, while the Predator 17 will have a 17.3-inch display that will only be available in Full HD.
Acer Predator G6 and Predator G3
The Predator G6 and G3 will feature 6th Gen Intel Core processors, up to 64GB DDR4 memory and NVIDIA GeForce GTX graphics. The Predator G6 will also feature “One-Punch Overclocking” which lets anyone overclock its CPU at the touch of a button.
Acer Predator Z and Predator XB1
The Predator Z35 is the first in the line of curved gaming monitors. It has a 32-inch, 21:9 aspect ratio UltraWide Full HD screen, with a resolution of 2560×1080 pixels, while the Predator XB1 comes in 27-inch and 28-inch models. Both of them come with 4K resolutions. All these monitors come with NVIDIA’s G-SYNC technology.
Acer Revo Build
The Revo Build is a block-based modular PC, that will let users swap or replace PC components easily. There is a basic base that consists of a CPU and motherboard, and users can stack other components like hard drives and ports on top. The components will be connected with each other through magnetic pins, and will not require the use of any tools.
Acer Jade Primo
The Acer Jade Primo will be the world’s first Windows 10 phone that will be able to turn into a Windows 10 PC. The phone will make use of Microsoft’s Continuum Technology and will be shipped with a dock, keyboard and a wireless mouse. All a user would need to do is connect the phone to an external screen. The phone itself will come with a 5.5-inch super AMOLED display, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor. It will also have a 21MP camera with dual-LED flash.
Acer Aspire Switch Series
The Acer Aspire Switch 10 and Switch 11 are a range of convertible Windows tablets with a keyboard dock that transforms them into laptops. The Switch 10 has a 10.1-inch display, while the Switch 11 has an 11.6-inch display.
Acer also expanded its lineup of its Liquid Series of smartphones. It announced six Android Lollipop-powered phones, and two other phones that will be powered by Windows 10 Mobile.
Aside from these, Acer also unveiled Chomebooks such as the R11. It also introduced new additions to its lineup, namely the R14, V13, V-Nitro 15, and the One Cloudbook 11. The Iconia One 10 tablet was also announced along with the Aspire U5 monitor and CB1 Series of monitors.
