Gamer in Focus is a segment that is dedicated to esports players who are toughing it out in the Indian gaming scene right now. We reached out to professional esports players in the country across different games with a few questions.
I used to play CS 1.6 but sucked at it. I was gifted CS:GO in 2014 by my friends on my birthday and got the rank of Gold Nova 3 after intense love for the game. I saw people representing India through this game and decided to do something about it, but my friends would joke about how they would not even play with me. I once told them that in a year, we will see where I am and where you are, and now here I am.
I play CS:GO and the game has given me good recognition and great fans through it. My team is like a new family which adds to the flavour of loving what I am doing.
I play for Entity Gaming. They are a professional esports organization based out of India.
My idol is Niko and he plays for FaZe. I would love to play against him.
My favourite gaming moment was when I was in Team Brutality in 2015. I was called a hacker because I was new and was defeating everyone. We set a record of winning 3 back-to-back LANs in 72 hours, which makes it unforgettable.
As much as I would like naming an idol, I feel that I've reached a point where I can confidently say myself. *wink*
Yes.

At the rate at which esports is growing with new talents and players from other countries entering India plus viewership and parents showing their support, I feel optimistic about India.
