E3’s Xbox 360 games revealed: GOW 3, MGS Rising, Halo: Reach, COD: Black Ops, & more
Just to show how important the games were in a conference that everyone knew would have a strong Kinect focus, the proceedings at the LA Convention Center began with a bang, going from zero to the first trailer:
Call of Duty Black Ops
“A lie is a lie… just because they write it down and call it history doesn’t make it the truth.” Followed by a million explosions and gunshots… Very destructrible environment, great looking tropical jungle, and sexy helicopter action…The trailer was followed by an announcement that all add-ons and map packs for Call of Duty in 2010, 2011 and 2012 will launch exclusively on Xbox 360 first.

Metal Gear Solid Rising
Hideo Kojima on stage, came on stage, then insisted, “It’s all about showing, not telling. Today we will premiere the very first footage of the game in action.”
The producer of the game, Shigenobu Matsuyama, then comes and introduces the gameplay of the game, which is based on the concept of “Zan-Datsu.” Zan means to cut, Datsu means to take. The trailer features some crazy cylon action, with insane sword fights.
Gears of War 3
Cliff Bezinski from Epic ,along with 3 other dudes, showed off Gears of War 3 in a 4 player co-op demo. With some very impressive tropical scenery and Locust fighting, the team inching across the safety to the base. They got a standing ovation from the crowd.
Halo: Reach
The game is introduced as one with over 34 million units sold, and over 2 billion hours played. The trailer shows some amazing single player gameplay, along with some cut scenes, and, the coolest thing this yet this E3, an F-14A inspired spaceship in the player’s hands in space battle!
