The MSI Raider GE67 HX is a monster of a machine which comes with the absolute best specs you can get on a gaming laptop today. That includes a 12th gen Intel core i9-12900HX which has even desktop variants beat when it comes to performance, an NVIDIA RTX 3080Ti, 32GB of DDR5 RAM, a 15.6-inch Quad HD display with a refresh rate of 240Hz, 2TB of NVMe SSD storage and more. The Raider GE67 crushed the competition when it came to the CPU benchmarks, the difference in performance between the HX and H variants is quite evident; the HX even had the i9 K variant beat for that matter. The Raider GE67 HX surpassed all other laptops in the segment in both the synthetic and real world gaming benchmarks as well. None of the games we tested, including Metro Exodus, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Gears of War 5 and more ever fell below the 100 FPS mark on high settings at FHD. Games like Valorant can fully utilise the 240Hz refresh rate panel on the Raider GE67 HX, recording well over 300 FPS consistently. The point is, you will have an incredibly hard time trying to find a game this laptop cannot handle. The MSI Raider GE67 HX is without a doubt, our Digit Zero1 Award 2022 Winner for the best performing gaming laptop.

The Alienware M15 R7 also happened to be a runner-up in the ₹121K – ₹200K gaming laptop segment, however, the variant in this category comes with an NVIDIA RTX 3080Ti, 32GB of DDR5 RAM, a Quad HD 165Hz refresh rate display, and a fantastic mechanical keyboard as well, among other things. The Alienware M15 R7 had all laptops other than the MSI Raider beat in terms of performance scores, in fact, it even beat the MSI in certain CPU benchmarks; the Intel Core i7-12700H really shines in the M15 R7, beating out several laptops with i9s. In terms of gaming benchmarks, once again the M15 R7 had most laptops but the MSI Raider beat. Ironically, the Alienware X17 R2 which was also a contender in this segment, with better specs on paper mind you, did not manage to outperform the M15. This most likely has to do with the higher TDP on the M15 as opposed to the X17. Also makes the Alienware M15 R7 a good example of not judging a book by its cover. The Alienware M15 R7 gets a deserved spot as our Digit Zero1 Runner-up in the best performing Gaming Laptop category.

Featuring a 12th gen Intel Core i7-12800HX, the Lenovo Legion 7 and the Alienware M15 R7 were extremely close in terms of scoring throughout our testing process. We could essentially say it was a tie between the two if we got rid of the decimal points in our scoring. You've also got 32GB of DDR5 RAM, and a 16-inch quad HD display with a refresh rate of 165Hz on the Legion 7. Considering the specs on board, you shouldn't have any trouble playing most but the most intensive games at high settings even in QHD. Of the three laptops we've discussed so far, the Legion 7 has the brightest display, but it's the least colour accurate of the lot. Keep in mind that in this the least colour accurate display is still very close to 100 percent sRGB coverage. The Lenovo Legion 7 wins our Digit Best Buy Award 2022 in the best performing Gaming Laptop category.
