The Hardpoint mode, as well as Headquarters mode, is unlike most other game modes in Call of Duty: Mobile. These modes test a player's ability to defend as much as being on the offence. While other modes are generally more forgiving of ‘lone wolf’ players. Hardcore and Headquarters will greatly reward teamwork.
Due to their unique nature, you’ll be better off with a custom loadout dedicated to these types of matches. If you are confused as to what you should equip yourself with, then you have come to the right place.
\Due to the fast-paced nature of Hardpoint and Headquarters, you would be smart to pick up a highly mobile weapon that works well in close quarters situations. So pick up an SMG or shotgun as these weapons will let you reach the location quickly. The PDW-57 SMG makes for a pretty good choice here it offers a strong mix of mobility and fire-rate. It also packs a large magazine size, letting you deal with multiple opponents without the need to reload. Shotgun aficionados may want to consider the KRM 262. Just be sure to hit your targets when using it.
Launchers in Hardpoint have limited use. As such, you may want to consider carrying a sidearm. A pistol like the .50 GS can be quite deadly in close quarters, especially if you have unlocked the Akimbo weapon perk. This arms you with dual .50 GS pistols, so you can fire away to your heart’s content. The MW11 is another option, especially with the Match Grade or Lightweight triggers. Melee weapons are temping, but killing groups of enemies isn’t really their thing. So there is a good chance you will be gunned down before you can clear the area.
Lethal grenades are extremely useful for flushing out entrenched enemies in Hardpoint and Headquarters matches. While the standard Frag Grenade is good, the Thermite and Molotov Cocktail can be deadly, especially in enclosed spaces. The Sticky Grenade might get stuck on window sills or doorways, while the Combat Axe wouldn’t really make sense considering that you need to clear rooms of multiple enemies. In terms of Tactical grenades, you may want to get a Trophy system that you can lay down the moment you capture a point. This will protect you against some of the grenades that will be heading your way.
The right Perks in Call of Duty: Mobile can greatly enhance your in-game performance. This is especially true for Hardpoint and Headquarters modes. The Flak Jacket is definitely a Perk you should have as it will help ensure your survival when the opposing team starts chucking grenades at your location. For the second slot, you can consider Cold-Blooded as it will let you ignore any Sentry Turret or Stealth Helicopter the opposing team has released. Hard-wired and Quick Fix is also some perks you can consider. For the third slot, something like Demo Expert or Alert can come in quite handy.
The right Operator Skill can make a big difference in Call of Duty: Mobile. If used correctly, you could clear an entire area of opponents in one go. The Gravity Spikes are especially useful in enclosed spaces, while the new Gravity Vortex Gun will let you clear rooms without getting in. The War Machine and Purifier can be quite deadly as well. However, certain Operator Skills like Death Machine and Tempest can have limited use in Hardpoint and Headquarters matches.
