We all consume a lot of content on OTT platforms. I don’t know about you but all my meal times include watching Netflix or Prime. These platforms have made watching films and web series pretty easy. But the question that arises is- which one’s better for me? I know it is not feasible for everyone to get subscriptions to every streaming platform. And with so many available platforms, we get spoilt for choice. Well, today I will help you sort out that dilemma as we try to figure out which streaming platform is better, Amazon Prime Video or Netflix.
For the sake of comparison, we will compare the two streaming platforms Amazon Prime Video and Netflix based on their prices, content, and streaming quality. Let’s talk about the pricing first.
If we compare the basic plans of both Amazon Prime Video and Netflix. A monthly Amazon Prime subscription costs ₹299 which includes Prime Videos, Music, and Delivery. A monthly basic Netflix subscription on the other hand will cost you ₹199. Netflix also has a mobile-only option which costs ₹149.

Coming to content now, comparing the two platforms under this criteria can be a little difficult. Well, Amazon Prime Videos has a larger library which comprises 24,000 films and 2,100 TV series. Netflix, on the other hand, has just 15,000 unique titles. However, you should note that these numbers keep on changing as new stuff is added and removed constantly.
Now if Amazon has quantity, Netflix offers better quality because Netflix has produced more original content, including Academy Award-winning titles, when compared to Prime Videos. Moreover, Netflix content seems to be more popular.

When it comes to streaming or viewing quality, Netflix seems to have the upper hand as it offers up to 4K Ultra HD on all its content with a premium subscription. Amazon Prime Videos on the other hand only has up to HD streaming available.
Now that I have told you the pros and cons of both streaming platforms, you can make an informed decision about what suits you better.
