WhatsApp is not known to offer a good deal of customization options and unlike Hike and Telegram you do not have a plethora of features to customize your user experience. Well, WhatsApp has now started to roll out two new features, one being a custom wallpaper for every chat, and two, the inclusion of UPI-based payment for users.
In this section, we will focus on how to set a custom wallpaper on chat. Users could set a wallpaper before but it would be applicable to all the chats, while in the new update you can set a custom chat wallpaper for each and every contact. You have the option to choose from bright and dark wallpapers preloaded with the update as well set your own custom image as a wallpaper from the ‘My Photos’ section of the app.
Note: For Android phones make sure you have WhatsApp version 2.20.206.24 or above. For iPhone users, you need to have WhatsApp version 2.20.131.3. or above.
