Fallout

Fallout is an American post-apocalyptic drama television series created by Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet for Amazon Prime Video. The show is based on the popular role-playing video game franchise of the same name, created by Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky. The series is set in an alternate history of Earth, following the aftermath of the Great War of 2077, a catastrophic nuclear exchange that led to the emergence of a retrofuturistic society. The story begins more than 200 years later, in 2296, where a young woman named Lucy emerges from Vault 33 into the devastated landscape of Los Angeles to search for her father, who has been kidnapped.
Lucy’s journey introduces her to a diverse cast of characters, including a Brotherhood of Steel squire and a ghoul bounty hunter, each with their own mysterious pasts and agendas. As she navigates the dangers of the wasteland, Lucy uncovers the dark secrets of the Vaults, designed to perform sociological and psychological experiments on their inhabitants.
The show has been praised for its faithful adaptation of the game’s universe and has been renewed for a second season following its positive reception. It stars Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Kyle MacLachlan, Moisés Arias, Xelia Mendes-Jones, and Walton Goggins, with Ramin Djawadi composing the music. “Fallout” premiered on Prime Video on April 10, 2024, and has quickly become a hit among fans of the franchise and newcomers alike.
