Shibpur Movie is a dark political thriller movie which revolves around a larger-than-life top cop. The protagonist is an IPS officer. The movie revolves around a political journalist of a leading daily in Kolkata who found an interesting story about a woman who rose from an ordinary housewife to a notorious lady mafia gang leader of the 1980s in Shibpur. She ruled the area for a long time but, later went missing in the late 90s. Sultan Ahmed, who was a colourful IPS officer was appointed by the then Chief Minister to bring the law-and-order situation under control. The top cop played a vital role in bringing stability to the district after a lot of bloodshed. The state government issued an order to arrest the lady gang leader at any cost. However just as things were in motion to capture her, she suddenly went missing without any trace. Was she killed by her arch rivals or was there a political agenda behind her disappearance?
