1. This isn't the first time that Captain Vikram Batra has been portrayed in a movie. He appeared in the 2003 film L.O.C. Kargil as well and was portrayed by Abhishek Bachchan. Abhishek Bachchan however was not signed because Captain Batra's family wanted a younger actor to play him as he was just 24 years old during the war. Hence, Sidharth Malhotra was chosen.
2.The film begins in mid 90s in the song Raataan Lambiyan Siddarth Malhotra and Kiara Advani go to watch Dilwale Dhulaniya Le Jaahenge 1995.This scene was shot at the Maratha Mandir cinema hall in Mumbai which is running the film since 1995.
