1.After demise of Rishi Kapoor..paresh rawal completed the remaining part of Rishi Kapoor in film
2.After Rishi Kapoor's death there were news that the film will either be shelved or re-shot.But Farhan Akhtar assured that it will release as last film of Rishi Kapoor.
3.Rishi Kapoor signed the film in 2017 and had joint discussion with the team but September 2018 he had to go to New York for his cancer treatment and returned after a year in September 2019 and started shooting for the film in January 2020.
4.While shooting in Delhi Rishi Kapoor lost his sister Ritu Nanda and returned back to Mumbai.The producers want to re schedule the shoot but Rishi Kapoor returned back after her final rites.
5.Directional debut of Hitesh Bhatia.
6.Rishi Kapoor and Juhi Chawla were to be paired together after 11 years since Luck By Chance 2009.In 2016 they had done Chalk N Duster but were not paired opposite each-other.
7.Due to Corona Virus epidemic films shoot was stalled for sometime.
8.Before the film starts Ranbir Kapoor gives a short speech that how his father Late Rishi Kapoor wanted to complete the film and release it.Ranbir Kapoor felt that he should put prosthetic and complete the film or complete it to through VFX but either didn't work and it looked that the film wont be complete until Paresh Rawal stepped in.
9.Rishi Kapoor had shot major portions of the film before his death.
10.In a scene with Sharmaji and Veena in a car, the songs Jee Le Zaraa from Taalaash can be heard playing. Sheeba Chadhdha, who plays Mrs Gulati, played a pivotal role in Taalaash.
