1. Sonam Kapoor had difficulties driving a Mini Cooper due to her height and her inexperience in driving a manual transmission. So a stunt double did most of the driving scenes for Sonam in Wellington. On the other hand, Abhishek Bachchan and Sikander Kher had no problems driving a Mini Cooper. The only thing difficult for them was to get in and out of Mini Coopers as they are so tall.
2. Before shooting this film, stunt director Allan Amin decided to make Sonam Kapoor get comfortable behind the wheels of Mini Cooper as she is very tall. She practiced for 10 days. However, during one of the practice sessions, she hit a lamp post in Wellington as she accelerated while reversing her car.
3. Hussain Burmawala took six-and-a-half months to complete the editing, which is the longest time taken for any Indian film to be edited.
4. First Hindi film to be shot in the North Pole.
5. Neil Nitin Mukesh was signed for the role after Abbas Mastan got impressed by his performance Jhonny Gaddar 2007.
6. Kareena Kapoor was approached for the film. But she opted out due to Abhishek Bachchan being part of it as he and her elder sister Karishma Kapoor had a broken engagement many years back.
7. Katrina Kaif was also opted out due to date issues.
8. Sonam Kapoor had one time opted out of the film as. Pankaj Kapur who was directing her in Mausam 2011 wanted solely to concentrate on that film. But later her dates were managed.
9. Abbas Mastan was working for the first time with many of its lead cast except for Bobby Deol and Bipasha Basu.
10. Sonam Kapoor would practice driving on Juhu lanes in Mumbai to drive a Mini Cooper in the film.
11. The film was planned for Diwali 2011 release. The release was expected on 9 December 2011 alongside Ladies vs Ricky Bahl. but was further delayed until 26 December, to make more time for promotions. But Abhishek Bachchan then decided not to release it alongside Don 2 -2011. Finally, it was released on 6th January 2012.
12.25 interpreters were hired during the Russia schedule as the crew faced language issues.
