and love and language with Jaggu at his side. He tells Jaggu about life on his planet where there is no sense of dress, language or religion, and that he is missing his remote when he becomes stranded in Rajasthan. Jaggu is a heartbroken woman after an almost failed marriage, but helps PK, as his name comes to be from ‘peekay’ (Hindi for someone who is a wasted drunk) to find his God and contact the ‘correct number’ as a Tapasvi from his time on earth had told him to do to return to his planet.
Jaggu learns through PK’s flashbacks that he had befriended one Bhairon Singh who allows PK to tag along and leads him to believe that PK’s thief is in Delhi. On his journey to Delhi, people tell him to find his God, and as such he sets out to practise all religions to find his God and the remote. He starts off a ‘missing god’ campaign, that actually exposes fraudulent godmen which Jaggu helps gain traction with her news reporting, which the Tapasvi doesn’t like. PK later comes to know his remote is in Tapasvi’s possession and that the Tapasvi and the wrong number and the missing god motive was all a lie.
Tapasvi confronts PK and questions him, to which PK argues that there are no duplicate gods, that people believe in what gives them strength. Tapasvi counters that PK is trying to take away people’s gods, and refers to an old prediction he makes with reference to the reason for Jaggu’s failed marriage. PK knows it's not true because he has absorbed Jaggu’s memories during their travels and hand holding as a form of communication, that there was no initial miscommunication between Jaggu and Sarfaraz.
Jaggu reconnects with Sarfaraz by contacting the Pakistani embassy and they finally reconvene their relationship. PK has fallen in love with Jaggu in the time being, but doesn’t disclose it, understanding Jaggu’s love for Sarfaraz. He leaves earth with voice tapes and batteries for the radio which contain mostly Jaggu and his conversations. Jaggu, with Sarfaraz’s help, writes a book about PK and publishes it.
It is shown that PK returns to earth a year later with a new mission in mind.

4. The Supreme Court of India rejected the plea made by some Hindu Groups to ban PK by stating, "Do not waste the valuable time of the Court by applying stupid logic".
5. Aamir Khan played nine different avatars and during the film, the actor had to eat over 10000 paans. "In real life, paan is not a habit, I have it once in a while but for this film, I chew paan for every scene. I would at times eat about 100 paans in a day. We had a paanwala on the sets," said Aamir Khan in the report. Apparently, for every take, Aamir had to eat a fresh paan to fill his mouth, also before beginning the shoot Aamir would eat at least 10-15 paans to get the right color inside his mouth and on his lips.
