Kakuda is a Hindi-language comedy horror film directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. The story is set in the village of Ratodi in Uttar Pradesh’s Mathura district, where a spirit called ‘Kakuda’ haunts men. The village has a unique tradition where every house has two doors: one of normal size and one smaller. Every Tuesday at 7:15 pm, the villagers must open the smaller door to avoid the spirit’s wrath. The film follows three inhabitants of the village who encounter the ghost, leading them to question their beliefs in superstition, tradition, and love. The cast includes Riteish Deshmukh, Sonakshi Sinha, and Saqib Saleem in the lead roles. Kakuda is available on ZEE5 from July 12, 2024.
