Dehradun and revolves around two brothers, Ratanlal Sharma and Sanjaylal Sharma, who attend Model College. Ratanlal is an exemplary student and athlete, determined to win the annual inter-school marathon cycle race, while Sanjaylal, played by Aamir Khan, is a carefree prankster. The story takes a turn when Ratanlal is seriously injured by the arrogant Shekhar Malhotra of Rajput College, who has been the reigning cycling champion. With Ratanlal unable to compete, Sanjaylal must step up to fill his brother’s shoes in the race. Alongside the intense rivalry and the high stakes of the cycling competition, the film explores themes of love, friendship, and personal growth. 1.Nearly 80% of the movie had to be reshot due to major changes in the casting.
2.Milind Soman was the original choice to play Shekhar Malhotra, but he quit after a few days of shooting. Akshay Kumar also auditioned for this role but was rejected.
3.Some members from Aamir Khan’s family featured in the film. Imran Khan played the role of young Aamir Khan, while Faisal Khan played the role of a student from Xavier’s College.
4.Saroj Khan was supposed to choreograph the song ‘Pehla Nasha’, but due to some problems, she did not turn up. Farah Khan, who was assisting the director, stepped in to choreograph the song.
