The story is about two college students who are from different backgrounds and have different ideologies. Student leader Daddu loves Jhulan and they are in the same college. They know each other from childhood, and love with each other since childhood. Daddu is drawn deeply into the agitation due to the implementation of the Mandal Commission’s suggestions. As he gets involved in the agitation his romance with Jhulan gets impacted due to his role as a student leader. They want to live together however due to the agitation they face challenges. The movie shows student politics of the 1990s which is fuelled by caste and class divide. It is an interesting story line and shows the reality of Indian politics.
