Grrr… is a 2024 Malayalam survival comedy film directed by Jay K. The movie is inspired by the true story of a lion that escaped from the Thiruvananthapuram Zoo in 2018. The plot revolves around Rejimon Nadar, played by Kunchacko Boban, who gets drunk after a heartbreak and ends up in the lion’s den at the zoo. KJ Haridas Nair, portrayed by Suraj Venjaramoodu, is a corrupt zoo employee who rushes to save Reji. The two characters must navigate their way out while dealing with the lion and the media frenzy that ensues. The film combines elements of comedy and survival, making it a unique addition to Malayalam cinema. It received mixed to positive reviews, with some critics praising its originality and humor.
