Gangs of Wasseypur: Part 1 is a 2012 Indian crime film directed by Anurag Kashyap. The story is set in the coal-rich town of Wasseypur and spans several decades, focusing on the power struggles, politics, and vengeance between three crime families.
The film begins with Shahid Khan, a dacoit who impersonates the legendary Sultana Daku to rob British trains. The narrative follows Sardar's rise to power and his relentless pursuit of revenge against Ramadhir Singh.
