The Lumia 530 was a disappointing successor to the 520, but it seems Microsoft has got its act together, with the Lumia 535. Not only is this smartphone a substantial upgrade from the Lumia 520 and 525, it is also the first Lumia phone to be launched by Microsoft.
Internal Storage
Let's start with the smaller stuff. The Lumia 530 had only 4 GB of internal storage with 128 GB micro-SD support. The 535 on the other hand has 8 GB with the same SD support.
Camera
The Lumia 530 disappointingly didn't have a front camera, while the Lumia 535 has 5 MP cameras on the front and back.
Display
At 5 inches, this device is still quite compact, but it's bigger than the Lumia 530, which had a 4 inch display. In addition, this is an IPS panel compared to the TFT capacitive screen on the 530.
RAM
Finally, a low end Windows Phone-based smartphone that has 1 GB of RAM. Microsoft got that one right.
Battery
This phone also has a bigger 1,905 mAh battery powering it. The Lumia 530 has a 1430 mAh battery. Better battery life people!
