Hands On: OnePlus One

The OnePlus One smartphone is coming to India and consumers are already getting excited. Often called the 2014 flagship killer, the device has a Snapdragon 801 SoC and 5.5 inch display. It runs on CyanogenMod 11.

Display

The device has a 5.5 inch Full-HD display, which looks somewhat dull to us. The sunlight visibility may be affected by this.

Back

The back in a sandstone black finish on the back is quite good. It gives a very different feel from your usual flagship smartphones. Very fresh.

Build

The device has the volume rocker on the left and the power on/off button on the right. It takes a micro/nano-SIM and has metallic finish on the sides. We quite liked the solid build of the smartphone.

CyanogenMod

The CM 11 run seems to be quite smooth on this smartphone. It also reeks of material design like Android 5.0 Lollipop. It gives the device a very different and new feel. Good or bad, we'll let you know soon.

Camera

The 13 MP camera though didn't look good on first impression. The device took some grainy pictures to start with, but we'll know more when we've done a full review. Expect that in a couple of days.
